About Dr. Cappello
I am an American Orthopedic Surgeon, who in April of 2001 decided to explore the Middle East. My wife and I have been living in Qatar for 9 years and we love the Expate Life of Traveling and meeting people of different cultures.
After over 30 years as an Orthopedic Surgeon in the forefront of development and developments in Sports Orthopedics, Arthroscopic Surgery, Traumatic Orthopedics, Special aspects of joint replacement and revision joint replacement surgery as well as the development of less invasive orthopedics in general and microsurgery of the spine.
I have decided on a different track in life toward the business aspects of Orthopedic Surgery that I have indirectly been involved with all my life. The extensive experience in the cutting edge aspects of Orthopedics makes me especially suited towards working in any company dedicated toward progress and excellence in the field.
I most recently was the Project Director for a new Surgical Specialty Clinic in Doha, Qatar to target the Expat patient base. We were successful in establishing contracts with all the major insurance companies…AXA, ALLIANZ, AETNA, CIGNA and Vanbreda and we were able to attract the first European Physicians to Qatar.
